Secs’ Report
RB (Youth) –
· Potential ‘Wellbeing and Health’ grant from Stroud District Council;
· Nigel and Pinner need to do the on-line ‘Safeguarding’ course; Link ‘to follow’ for all other Committee members to complete; all such ‘courses’ now available via Whole Game system
Finance - Steve R
· – full breakdown via SR – we should be sustainable, as a Club, through to September at least
· still some potential expenditure, e.g. vertidrainage plans, but also potential £1K grant via Stonehouse Council/SDC (Tim pursuing)
· Tim also pursuing further Football Federation grants to offset COVID impact in grassroots clubs
· Concern – players’ debts are still similar to last month, although some pleasing progress; NS and SR met with the managers, via Teams, to discuss debt chasing- positive response from Managers
COVID Ian Neville
· Any issues please keep IN posted – as soon as season re-commencement announced, we need to review our checks and balances
Pitch and Ground – Pinner and Fletch
· All proposed ground and pitch improvements to go through Pinner and Fletch before putting to Committee
· Fletch has arranged breakdown of potential pitch and ground improvement costs – warmly received by all
· TW- are we considering IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers) to carry water away from pitch?
DBS – RB
Pinner and RB liaising over outstanding DBS checks (Nat B, Ben Carmen and Chris B?) – can be done via Whole Game System
Commercial – Tim
Tim is progressing proposal to move towards becoming a ‘Limited By Guarantee’ Company
AOB
· Awaiting Leagues’ proposals on any re-commencement of football (e.g. Severn Valley League announcing on 24th Feb)
· TW – Accounts need auditing (liaising with SR to find suitable independent person)
· STFC should acquire a ‘bird repellent’ to prevent grass seeds from being eaten, rather than germinating – TW dealing
· Nigel has had exploratory talks with Nick Hausden over potentially converting to a 3G pitch – initial talks only, no commitments nor expectations being raised
