STFC Committee Meeting 5th April 2021

Secs’ Report
RB (Youth) –
- Please bear with the new ground staff at the Playing Fields
- RB will raise moving the adult top pitch slightly closer to the Pavilion in order to reduce the number of occasions players risk life and limb trying to recover footballs kicked over the fence.
- Friday football courses on Friday will have no official STFC endorsement, although we may consider it in future subject to the appropriate precautions, especially COVID related ones.
- FF Grant to be used on buying 3 sets of goals for the Youth – well done to all involved in securing the grant.
- Under 18s still need to book their place in the Cheltenham Floodlit League
MS (Adult)
- Awaiting result of application to be in next season’s FA Cup
- New way of registering players on FA FullTime requires email addresses.
- Shorts and Socks numbers will be checked, and he will liaise with SR on putting in an order.
Finance - Steve R
- Still looking sound – full breakdown available via SR – we should be sustainable, as a Club, through to September at least
- Concern – players’ debts should be chased up and settled via a Signing On Day on 17th July, when we hope to have all 4 teams at home, staggered kick offs.
- First match when we allow spectators should be Tuesday 13th April, v Royal Wotton Bassett
- Applied for FA grant of £6k, looking promising.
- We will need a new Treasurer after the forthcoming AGM – please consider any suitable candidates, as it would be useful to have them ‘shadowing’ Steve in advance of AGM if possible.
COVID Ian Neville
- Any issues please keep IN posted.
- Risk Assessment revised and passed on to Council – available from IN, RB or Chair Nigel
Pitch and Ground – Pinner and Fletch
- Please exercise caution in arranging fixtures, especially in wet weather - proposed ground and pitch improvements to go through Pinner and Fletch before putting to Committee.
- Floodlight issues should be sorted asap, by July at latest.
- Mower repair being sorted.
DBS – RB
- Outstanding DBS checks for Nat B, Ben Carmen and Chris B being done this week; Luke Collins will need to have his sorted in his new role as Assistant 2nd team coach.
Commercial – Tim
- Tim is progressing proposal to move towards becoming a ‘Limited by Guarantee’ Company
